This position involves clinical research in women’s neurology, focusing on neurological diseases such as epilepsy, headache, multiple sclerosis, and peripheral neuropathies as they relate to pregnancy. The applicant will participate in all steps of clinical research studies, primarily 1) institutional review board application, amendments, and monitoring, 2) patient consent and recruitment, 3) data collection, monitoring, and entry, and 4) manuscript preparation for publication. Duties will be performed under the instruction of the director of women’s neurology, but work will largely be performed independently in both the neurology and obstetrics departments.
Prior experience in dealing with IRB applications, patient consent and recruitment, and data management is recommended but not necessary.

Berkeley Review MCAT Prep
This program includes an intensive MCAT prep course taught by highly qualified instructors from the Berkeley Review.
This program is offered in partnership with the the Executive Programs in Health Policy and Management at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. Scholars will earn a Certificate in Pre-Medical Studies and Pre-Licensed Clinical Care.
Scholars must be enrolled in or graduated from an accredited college or university, and be at least 18 years old.

CNN Heroes interns will be responsible for supporting producers, associate producers and production assistants throughout the production of CNN Heroes packages. Interns will attend all weekly department planning meetings. They will learn to use CNN's databases to access video, conduct research and communicate with other departments within the company. Main responsibilities include research, logging, transcribing, dubbing, assisting with organizational and administrative tasks and searching for video and sound. Interns are encouraged to pitch ideas with respect to nominations and Hero packages.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program.
- Must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship
- Must be enrolled in school during the time of the internship (must NOT have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship)
