Tyleah Hawkins, a proud 2015 Howard University graduate, entered post graduate life facing complications that so many others face. An over-saturated job market made full time work seem almost unattainable. Despite her academic record and countless internships, Tyleah found herself struggling to make ends meet. “I thought I was going to be chillin, kickin’ it...but then I realized I had to grind harder than ever did at Howard. Everyone that went to Howard knows that you have to grind. You have to grind to get to Howard, stay at Howard, and graduate from Howard. The grind never ends.” Tyleah said.
Tyleah has now taken what she learned about determination during her college years and willed herself to stay focused on success. After months of working multiple odd jobs, Tyleah landed a professional part time opportunity as well as an internship she loves. She is also the host of a radio show called Unapologetic Queens. The show centers around embracing diversity within the black community.
“There is no one holding you accountable to your dreams, but YOU.
